Profile & History
Where it began…
1986 was the year that Ron and Carol Traill recognized the need in the Durham region of Ontario for a reliable sameday courier company. Banking on Ron's taxi dispatcher and Carol's Canada Post experience, armed with a cell phone and a vision, they took orders and delivered the orders themselves. Their determination and perseverance paid off. The business grew and grew. Today there are 50 people that make up the Immediate Team.

Our Team
As a family run business, we hire only individuals who buy into the Traill family's philosophy of providing the best service this industry has to offer.
In an industry that traditionally experiences high turnover in drivers, Immediate prides itself in having the lowest staff turnover in the region. The reason for this is mainly due to our stance that “Our drivers need to make a living". We will not undercut our competitors' prices at the expense of our drivers' earnings. Maintaining our competitive pricing while ensuring the well being of our drivers is an essential ingredient in our recipe for success. Our drivers are accessible by radio at all times.
Our Equipment
Our Cell phone System – Through their individual cell phones our drivers can talk directly to our dispatchers, office staff. Our communication system enables us to give immediate status reports on any shipment. Also, if a driver is unable to complete a designated run, he/she can contact a backup driver immediately and make appropriate arrangements. Our drivers can be contacted anywhere any time…not just while they are in their vehicles. This system virtually eliminates disruption of service due to unforeseen causes like vehicle breakdowns, wrong addresses, etc.
